We require a space for at least 50 people along with the provision of drinks and finger food / canapes if possible.
The event will last for around 2 hours and the provider of the venue and food will be published and promoted as the sponsor for the event
We will run the event as a business networking event and will have a guest speaker present for a presentation.
If you can offer your venue to The Aldgate Business Forum or you would like to come along to The Aldgate Business Forum please contact me directly.
City Giving Day is an annual initiative run by the Lord Mayor’s Appeal that any companies in or linked to the city can get involved in.
This year it is on Tuesday 27th September which will be a day companies all promote and celebrate our charity and community at the same time. If you are a company in or linked to the city you can involved in the following ways;
1. Running an activity that raises employees engagement with your charity/community work
2. Holding a fundraiser to support either your charities or The Lord Mayor’s Appeal
3. Making a donation to the Lord Mayor’s Appeal which will be recognised through media opportunities and exclusive events.
All companies that take part in City Giving Day 2016 will also be invited to share their own charity/community stories as part of the bigger PR campaign.
To register your own company in City Giving Day 2016 please register here.
I am organise a series of “meet your councilman” voter lunches and would really appreciate it if you could attend.
It would be great to meet you and have a conversation about any concerns, fears or questions you have about your ward.
Please email for upcoming dates as places for these voter lunches fill quickly.
Ward clubs started as rate payers associations as a forum for local residents, merchants and traders and others with an interest in the ward to make representations to the its elected members (like myself today). They have now evolved into more of a social and networking club but I am keen for more voters to get involved and learn about the governance and traditions of the City.
If this may be of interest to you I am delighted to inform you that our Aldgate Ward Club has organised an Introductory Evening on Wednesday 20 November 2013 at the Baltic Exchange (38 St Mary Axe, EC3A 8BH) from 6pm. There will be two or three short talks and an opportunity to network and chat over a glass of wine with existing members of the ward club. Please get in touch with them if you would like to come along.
