As well as the above and usual City of London Corporation meetings and engagements:
- I helped resolve the issue of rubbish being dumped on the street during working hours in the Fenchurch Buildings alleyway;
- I attended a meeting of the licensing committee with my ward colleague Hugh Morris to represent residents views in an application to extend the hours of operation of a bar close to their homes.
I can also advise that:
- Informal crossings are to be provided at Leadenhall Street on the intersections near Billiter Street and Fenchurch Buildings which aim to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility;
- A planning application for a new skyscraper in Aldgate colloquially being described as “Gotham City” at 40 Leadenhall Street will be brought forward soon and is currently in pre application public consultation.
